Previously, my impressions of magazine covers w ere   nonexistent .  I'm  not a very  avid reader  of newspapers and magazines but I can now confidently say   I notice all the details these companies put into their magazine covers and the  significance of these details.  For  example,   Rolling  S tone  keeps its  consistent  bright red lettering along with black and white lettering throughout their magazines. This  could be  due to  the fact that   the majority of  Rolling Stone ’s readers are men. Men are said to have shorter attention spans than women.  Rolling stone attempts to use this  to their advantage   by using a big graphic of Travis Scott ,  who is a very po pular influencer and rapper , to  instantly  grab their attention ;  followed with the bright red letter ing  to let them know  whose  magazine  they're  reading. ...

Before, when  I  went to the movies,  I  wouldn't pay much attention to the opening credits of the movie. I would be on my phone or skip the credits to get some snacks from the concession stand or use the bathroom. Now I look for all types of meanings behind credit scenes and how they can foreshadow the theme of the movie. In all the clips we watched, these examples are the ones that stoo d out the most. At the beginning of Scream, the title of the movie went from white to all red while there was screaming in the background. This foreshadows that the movie is most likely goi ng to be a little gory and have a lot of violence.   Another example is 2001: A Space  Odyssey  and the  reason  why thi s stood out to me the most was that for the first minute  or,  so the screen was completely  black,  and everything was silent.
