Final Draft: Deaf Heist

Final Draft

Peer Review

Before going up to present I was a little nervous because I didn't think our movie was that good but, Juli and I received a lot of good feedback on our movie. A lot of our peers loved the angles we used, the music we used for our title screen and credits, and the fact that we used multiple locations in our film. It was also mentioned that when I ran the stop sign in the scene after the credits it added a nice touch even though it wasn't planned. Some things that weren't too good was that it was hard to hear the characters talk at some points, add more suspenseful music throughout the whole movie, make sure the characters are wearing the same clothes in all the scenes, and make the outfits a little more serious because one of the actors was wearing crocs for a majority of the movie. We were also told to spend more time on the restaurant scene so we can go more into depth on the backstory of the characters, to make the characters seem more believable and menacing, and to add ...

Production 2- ”Filming Plan”

At the beginning of the film, most of our angles are going to be mid shots and wide shots so the  entirety  of the scene can be seen along with  what's  going on besides th e robbery that’s taking place.  We will also do some  close-up  shots of the character's hands while  they're  grabbing the money  and also  when  they're  putting the money in their duffel bags.  Most of the scenes will be handheld camera movements since we don’t have the necessary equipment for the other movements. If we do need to take a shot that needs to be very  steady,  we will use my tripod. As for props, the characters will have BB guns, not real guns, plain blue plastic masks  and duffel bags. There will also be prop money . The characters will all be wearing all black along with their masks. My t hree friends will be playing the cousins and the main character’s brother, while Juliana’s friend will be the main c...

Production 1- ”Scouting Locations”

The setting in the first scene will be taking place in an investment bank that belongs to rich people. The characters are already in the bank and trying to rob the money and threatening people with their guns. The dialogue will mostly be the main characters (Kim) and her brother talking to the bank teller and trying to get the teller to show them where they keep the money. The siblings will be using hand signals as communication. Most of the dialogue is background screaming of people being afraid and worried. We are thinking about filming the film in downtown Sarasota in very pretty parts of downtown that look very luxurious and other parts where it does not look so nice to show that the characters live in that type of neighborhood. We will also film at a nice bank downtown around the daytime. We are going to take pictures of ideas and the banks that there are downtown to see if it is a place we will like to film at. Costumes in scene 1 will be all black with black b...
